Lo2: Target audience
Advay is a 20 year old male who is highly interested in gaming. He is at Sheffield university and studies computer science. In his spare time he enjoys meeting up with his his fellow nerds to play dungeon and dragons, Warhammer and board games. He is a friendly person who enjoys meeting up with new people and making new friends. He likes to play the Lute while on Skype with all his friends. He lives at home with his mother and only occasionally drinks in social situations. If he can he would prefer to stay inside and play on his gaming computer. He works for the local news agents delivering newspapers at the weekend. He falls into the social grade of ABC1 more specific into B. This means that he has a considerable amount of disposable income and likes getting new games to try out, his favourite game genre is Rogue like, as he enjoys each play though to be different.
Lo1: My Chosen Game and Background
Time Drift:
The game Time Drift is a FPS action adventure with roguelike elements, this means that once you die you restart from the beginning again. The object of the game is to proceed though levels in order to kill the final boss at the end of the game. The game will work on room to room basis, this means that when you enter a room you have different obstacles to hide behind and you need to clear the room of enemies, in order for the next one to open. The will be split into 5 tiers and on each of the tiers there will be 4 levels once you have completed a level you then advance forward in tiers, when advancing in tiers the game will then randomly choose a level from the 4 in tier two, this then goes on until you complete the final tier in which you move onto the final boss level.
Protagonist:
It all started years ago, a peaceful planet plunged into war and famine, al was lost for humanity But yet, a small glimmer of hope arose from the ashes of man. A selfless hero, bravely took the fight to the enemy. The fighting seemed endless until, they found a crashed enemy ship and found something inside that changed the face of war as we know it... But all seemed well until the enemies found where they were hiding in an submarine known only as "Possibility of wet weather", they delved straight into battle. The battle was brief and short as the enemies had the element of sup prise, they took what they need to stop the weapon from being created and teleported away.
The is where the hero comes in... With this character you shall advance off the submarine and fight your way to the enemy spaceship and destroy them once and for all!
The level:
The level we will be designing is tutorial mission, this will include the basic controls and a basic outline of the enemies than you will face and some items that you would find and collect throughout the game. You will face some simple obstacles such as harmless drones which you need to destroy, simple platform controls. During this mission you will encounter many different objects such as items that you have to collect to get stronger, you will also have to to use lifts to get to a different part of the level that you couldn't get to any other way. You need to use them to complete the levels.

Lo1: Game ideas and Synopsis
Time Drift
This game is a FPS game in which you have to work your way though multiple levels. The twist on this compared to other FPSs is that when you are stood still time slows down, this adds many new elements in which you have to strategically stand still in order to line up the perfect shot or to dodge incoming projectiles and analyse your surroundings.

Insignia:
This game would fall into the genre of Puzzle adventure. The idea behind the game is that you have to find the truth behind a long lost treasure forgotten in time. You would have to solve loads of different and challenging puzzles to eventually find the truth behind this lost in time treasure.
Stealth Ninja 3:
The game would be a action adventure, it will follow the idea of a stealth biased game in which you have to pass though the levels being a stealthy as possible, you have to break into a top secret agency in order to steal top secret information that could be crucial towards winning a war. The game would be side scroller and have a very good AI detection making the game harder.

UE4 first impression
I found UE4 really useful and easy to use, the videos i followed to give me the basic information onto how to use it was very helpful and gave me a clear overview of some shortcuts and how to use it. The engine was at first a little confusing but after a few attempts to make things i found it easy to use and a good way to make anything that would be put into a game.
